Recruiting churches to celebrate the love of God to OVCs on Orphan Sunday, a global event that takes place on the 2nd Sunday of November. This is in response to the call in James 1:27.

Champion Advocate- A communicator and advocate for orphans and vulnerable children and their families according to Prov 31:8 thus speaking for these that cannot speak for themselves. This role is to guide Christians working together to be God's answer through the local church.

Second Mothers – Offer support to mothers looking after other mothers' children either through adoption or foster care through Bible study and sharing of experiences with an aim of encouraging, equipping with skills to navigate their journey.

Rotarian – Member of Rotary club Langata whose goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy.

A trained journalist and accomplished marketer and writer, Antony brings a wealth of experience. With a passion for alternative care for children, he is committed to using his skills and talents to raise awareness about the plight of underprivileged children both in Kenya and worldwide. He hopes to reach out to a global audience, not only to shed light on the challenges faced by these children but also to garner support for their emancipation process. Antony's dedication to this cause is driven by his belief in creating a better future for every child, regardless of their circumstances.

As a passionate community organizer and driven by a fervent commitment to uplift the most vulnerable, Michael Arega serves as a Program Officer at the Alternative Child Care Alliance. His journey with us began with a heart dedicated to aiding the less fortunate, leading him to volunteer with us and assist us in our activities before rising in ranks due to his commitment to the cause of ACCA. Now, as a Program Officer, he blends passion with purpose, orchestrating initiatives to provide solace and support to these children that are greatly in need of our help as we help in the transition.

Milly Ouma is a seasoned Operations Management professional, with an excellent blend of Accounting, Supply Chain, and Administration. She's currently an Accounts Manager at Alternative Child Care Alliance (ACCA). An alumna of the University of Nairobi, where she pursued a career in Supply Chain Management, after studying CPA at Strathmore University. Prior to ACCA, she was a Program Administrator at PREDA Foundation, where she was responsible for task tracking, document processing, budget and resource management. Her interests include culinary arts, interior design, languages, and yoga.

Executive Director, Alternative Child Care Alliance (ACCA)

In 1999, Ndhawa, as a young boy, founded a Community Based Organization with a group of like-minded neighbors to save children born by the sex commercial workers in Majengo Slum, Nairobi. Ndhawa steered the team to start a non-formal education center called Child Survival Center which was later turned to a public school. From 2003, the campaign on HIV/AIDS took the center stage but majored it on the Children Rights. During the campaign against children with HIV/AIDS discrimination, Ndhawa made an impact on children who managed to get help from well-wishers and donor organizations that made their lives better with some accessing medications that kept them alive to adulthood and education.

Ndhawa is dedicated to seeing success in the deinstitutionalization of children into loving families as per the Government policy 2022 – 2032.

Susan is passionate about social justice and transformation. Having worked extensively in the design and implementation of community projects targeting orphans and vulnerable children, gender, development, and education, Susan strongly believes that an investment in socio-ecological sustainability is a sure step in the attainment of social justice. Coming from Kenya (sub-Saharan) Africa, Susan has experienced first-hand the effects of ecological degradation and structural obstacles to a just society and their direct impact on the most vulnerable in society.

She feels honored to have held leadership positions that have enabled her to influence the policy landscape for social protection in Kenya and the East African Region and is persuaded that she can achieve more and make a greater impact with enhanced awareness, knowledge, and leadership. Susan is a sustainability champion and creates awareness on sustainability while using her influence to advocate for, develop, and implement policies and actions towards a more sustainable Kenya, Africa, and the globe within the context of social justice and social transformation.

Alice Akinyi Omondi, born on January 1st, 1980, is a born-again Christian and member of Nairobi Baptist Church. Married with five children, Alice resides in Thika and is fluent in English, Swahili, and Luo. Passionate about working with children, her career began during her 4th year internship at Kenyatta University's Department of Children’s Services in 2003.

Over the years, she has gained robust experience in child protection, alternative family care, and leadership in international settings. Notable achievements include championing care reforms and serving as a social work coordinator for organizations like New Life Home Trust and Feed the Children-Kenya.

Alice holds a Bachelor of Sciences from Kenyatta University and has pursued professional training in leadership, management, and child welfare. In her free time, she enjoys making friends, adventure traveling, and supporting the needy.
